Skool Is Out welcomes families within the local community, regardless of religion, race, gender, marital status, sexual orientation or disability. We also welcome children registered at SEN schools within the community.
Our parent information booklet can be viewed here.
Firstly you need to contact us either by email, telephone or by calling into our office to discuss your requirements and to establish if there is availability at our clubs. You can also use our online contact form found on the homepage of our website to enquire about availability.
Once a place has been confirmed we will request that you complete an electronic Registration Form which forms part of your contract with Skool Is Out. You will also receive our Parent Agreement to Admission form which outlines our Terms and Conditions.
The Childcare Manager may request that you come into our office to discuss your requirements in advance of childcare commencing, and to ensure that we have correct information on file for your child. We are happy to discuss all individual needs with parents/carers with regard to allergies, diet, cultural requirements, medical conditions, behavioural concerns etc.
Once you have registered your child/ren at our clubs your fees will be calculated and a fee intimation letter will be issued indicating the monthly amount you are due to pay. Fees are only charged for the days that children are booked in for and do not include fees for holiday care. Fees for holiday care are payable at the time of booking a place at the holiday club or in-service day.
This is carried out annually in April/May and all children attending the clubs must re-register to guarantee a place for the new session commencing in August. Re-registration forms are handed out by the clubs and forms must be returned by the deadline date indicated. Please ask if you have not received one to avoid any risk of losing your place for the next school session.
Primary 1 registration
If you require to register your child at one of our clubs and your child will not be commencing school until August an electronic child details form must be filled in and returned to the club with the registration fee. This can be done from January on-wards of their intake year but not before. Siblings however are requested to be registered in September of the year before they will commence school. We recommend early registration as places are allocated on a first-come first-served basis. However we do give priority to James Gillespie’s Primary School pupils as their provider for out of school care. We will contact parents/carers who have registered by the beginning to end of May to confirm.
